Cannot connect SmartTag2 to new phone

Phone died in march....account was connected to my smarttag 2 ....unable to connect to new phone 

 
Didn't back up my old phone

**Reconnect SmartTag 2 to New Phone (No Old Phone Backup)**:
1. **Sign into Same Samsung Account**:
- On new Galaxy phone, sign into same Samsung account (Settings > Accounts and backup).
2. **Install SmartThings**:
- Download/update SmartThings app, sign in, check **Devices** for SmartTag 2.
3. **Reconnect Tag**:
- Press SmartTag 2 button (ensure it beeps).
- In SmartThings, tap **Add device** > **Samsung** > **SmartTag**, pair via Bluetooth.
4. **Reset Tag if Needed**:
- Remove battery tray, press button, reinsert tray, hold button >7 seconds until beep.
- Re-pair in SmartThings.
5. **Check Battery**:
- If no beep, replace CR2032 battery, then retry pairing.
6. **Remove from Account**:
- If listed but not connecting, in SmartThings > **Devices** > delete tag, reset, and re-add.

**Tips**:
- Ensure new phone is a Galaxy device (Android 8.0+).
- If issues persist, contact Samsung Support (1-800-SAMSUNG)
